European-Inspired Elopement at Vizcaya Gardens in Miami, Florida

It was a dream to photograph this European-inspired elopement in the lush gardens at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens! We were swept away by the Spanish moss oak trees and golden sunlight that paired perfectly with the Spanish architecture. Let’s not forget this designer gown by Monique Lhuillier. There’s no doubt that this Miami estate will transport you to the gardens of Versailles.

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens is one of the most sought-after wedding venues in Miami, Florida, and especially ideal in the Springtime according to the experts at Brides.

There are not many wedding venues in the United States quite like Vizcaya. According to Wedding Sparrow, these share a similar look and feel but all have their distinct characteristics:

  1. Swan House – Atlanta, Georgia
  2. Vizcaya Museum – Miami, Florida
  3. Sunstone Winery – Santa Ynez, California
  4. Malibu Rocky Oaks – Malibu, California
  5. Kestrel Park – Santa Ynez, California

As you can see, most expansive properties as beautiful as Vizcaya exist mostly in Southern California so if you’re looking to have a European-inspired Florida wedding, this is a great place to start.

Vizcaya has been on my bucket list since moving to the South and it was a dream to work there. I can’t wait to get back to this stunning location and shoot along the shores of Biscayne Bay!

With joy, Garrett
