Mitch is a pilot so he surprised Megan with an afternoon flight over the incredible lakes and mountains in Washington. They traveled to a gorgeous vineyard, where he led his unsuspecting girlfriend to a cliffside lookout over Spokane. After getting to know them during their Balboa Island shoot, I knew their wedding day would be nothing short of amazing. Megan & Mitch both being from Chicago, many of their guests were visiting from out of state to celebrate.

They chose the historic Franciscan Gardens, which is located in the heart of San Juan Capistrano. This rustic 5,000 square foot property houses an outdoor courtyard, Spanish style garden and remodeled indoor reception space with wood floors and exposed brick.  The gritty floors and soft light coming through the window made for some of my favorite romantic images of these two. It is always such an honor to work with Joyful Weddings & Events! Danae serves her couples with creativity, attention to detail and passion. 24 Carrots provided delicious meals with beautiful presentation. I was in awe with their donut bar by Ellie’s Table! Can’t wait to check out the San Clemente location and try the whole menu.
