As a family tradition, Adam grew up going on trips to Cape Cod. Andrea was very excited to experience this important part of his life when they took a trip from LA to Massachusetts a few years ago. Unknown at the time, she would answer one of the most important questions of her life on this trip.
From the bride: “On our last day of vacation, we were very happy to find out that it would be clear enough to see sunset after several days of it being overcast in the evening. Adam and I have a special affinity for sunsets. We even have a sign in our apartment that says, “Let’s Do Sunset” in front of a painting of a sunset on a very Cape Cod-like beach. We took a walk on East Bay View Beach (which is Adam’s favorite beach and holds a lot of sentimental value for him) to go see the sunset. We headed away from the crowd onto a more private end of the beach. Adam pointed off into the distance to show me that you can faintly see the Provincetown tower from the beach (which got me looking in the opposite direction for him to stealthily get down on one knee). Then he tugged on my hand to get me to turn around.
There he was proposing! It was truly the perfect proposal…and of course, I said yes!
Afterward, we went to The Lobster Boat to meet Adam’s family for dinner where they had bubbly on ice waiting to celebrate. July 31, 2015 was truly a great day that we will never forget!”
Andrea being from northern California and Adam from the east coast, their Del Mar wedding was very much a destination wedding for most of their guests. Organic Elements created the most beautiful florals and Catherine Adkins from L’Auberge Del Mar brought all of the gorgeous details together including driftwood, gold lanterns, and a sprinkling of mercury glass votives. It was one stunning day and a perfect way to celebrate the love these two share!
