‘I do’ was not a moment but a place we’ve built on truth ...
Sam & Matt, originally from Louisville, Kentucky are new residents of San Diego and are quickly falling in love with the ocean, breweries, and year-long sunshine. These two worked in downtown Louisville for two years, only blocks away from each other, before their first date. I love hearing what they remember thinking, “How did we get so lucky?!”
Matt proposed in Hawaii while on vacation with Sam’s family. They were hiking the Diamond Head Crater trail when after a 45-minute hike to the top of the crater’s summit, Matt popped the question. It was the PERFECT proposal for these two since they love being active: traveling, hiking, camping and going on runs with their dogs, Phineas & Zeus. In fact, they brought them to the engagement session! It was so fun getting to photograph these awesome dogs!
When asked about one thing they want to bring into their marriage, commitment, was the first thing that came to mind. They have an amazing example of parents who exemplified deep commitment in marriage. Since Matt & Sam are from the midwest, everyone is coming to the wedding from out of town. They are really looking forward to having all of their people in the same place at the same time. Enjoy the engagement session at Marian Bear Memorial Park and Scripps Seaside Forum!
