‘I do’ was not a moment but a place we’ve built on truth ...
Sami & Ben are some of the kindest people I know – they know what it means to serve people and that carries over into their love for one another. To learn more about their Catalina Island helicopter proposal, head over to their engagement session blog post to read all about it!
Surrounded by their closest family & friends, Sami & Ben tied the knot at the grandiose Founder’s Chapel at University of San Diego. Since they met in Ocean Beach and with their love for the ocean, it was only appropriate for their entire wedding party to ride over to Tom Ham’s Lighthouse in two classic Woody Wagons owned by the Ocean Beach Hotel.
Rachel from Wynn Austin Events did an amazing job coordinating all of the important events of the day. One of my favorite moments was seeing Sami & Ben walk into their reception room while it was still empty and coming to tears because they were so pleased with how everything turned out. Their guests were getting the party started at cocktail hour overlooking the San Diego Harbor and the downtown skyline, so we photographed some amazing portraits of these two just before the sunset over Point Loma. Ben is a Navy diver and he actually trained dolphins just across the water from where we were shooting! The night ended with some pretty incredible dance moves and it was an honor to celebrate these two with my camera.
Sami & Ben, thank you for your generous hearts and genuine joy. I wish you all the best as you continue to embark on the beautiful uncharted territories of marriage, cheers!
