Meg and I have known Devin & John for almost two years. I had the honor of photographing their engagement session at Scripps Forum in La Jolla and Temecula wedding, both of which you can see on the blog if you haven’t already.

       It’s an enormous joy when I get the chance to become the family photographer for my couples beyond wedding day. One of my favorite parts about being a wedding photographer is getting to watch my couples build a home together and if desired, to grow their family. John & Devin completely outdid themselves by adding the cutest golden retriever puppy to their home recently, named Griffey! To celebrate their one year anniversary, John & Devin wanted a portrait session at Marion Bear Park and of course, Griffey had to come along!  Meg and I had a blast getting to see John and Devin and to meet their new addition.  It was SO. MUCH. FUN.

      Together, John & Devin are a pretty dynamic duo. They are intentional with each other, seek adventure, and love to laugh. They  truly inspire us and we’re grateful to call them friends.

       SO, this is your one and only warning… this blog post has dozens of insanely cute puppy moments. Just remember, if you fall in love with goldens all over again right now and decide to go “just look” at golden puppy for sale, be prepared to take one home because they are easily the happiest dogs on the planet and Griffey sets the bar pretty high.
