San Diego Proposal

I’ve been blessed to get to know Jesse over the last few months and when he told me he was proposing to his girlfriend Dottie, I immediately knew it would be a moment not to miss. After making the move to San Diego from Huntington Beach during their dating relationship, the ocean has been a consistent theme. With their love for nature, Jesse knew he would propose somewhere outdoors that encompassed all of their adventures. He kept coming back to a dock on the San Diego Harbor that was both memorable throughout their journey and a place of stillness.

After much planning, he invited two of his roommates to help set the scene with a blanket, candles, and flowers. I knew I needed to get the shot and the only way I could do so without being seen was to hide under a blanket while balancing on a boat! Dottie & Jessie they made their way down then ramp… she quickly realized the moment she’d been dreaming about was about to happen! Jesse led her down the weathered pier where he got down on a knee to ask the big question. Dottie quickly replied, “YES!”

They were glowing while we cheered them on and took some photos to preserve these special moments. Then Dottie & Jesse joined family and friends to celebrate at a surprise engagement party. I couldn’t be more excited for these two! Jesse & Dottie, it was such an honor to document this important milestone in your journey and cheers to MANY more adventures ahead!
