La Jolla Engagement

We had such a great time during Karissa & Dave’s engagement session! With their love for exploring San Diego, we started the shoot at The Public House La Jolla, a cozy pub in a renovated bungalow with beers on tap from all over the world. They’re both huge soccer fans and in fact, David proposed during the week of FIFA Club World Cup! After the game, a surprise date was planned at South Coast Winery. David got down on one knee in a private and romantic setting near the vines and asked the big question!

From The Public House La Jolla, we strolled through the neighborhoods along the ocean. Since their first date was in Pacific Beach where they rode bikes and played soccer, it was only appropriate that they pull out the beach cruisers and go for a ride down the palm tree-lined streets. At sunset, we wrapped up the shoot overlooking Windansea Beach… one of my favorite beaches in San Diego. These white sand beaches and weathered rock cliffs made for one of the most scenic and relaxing ways to take in the last light of the day.
