Mikaela & David have a deep connection to family and their many friendships from over the years. They’ve traveled all over the world and lived in cities across the US, but have found home to be wherever they’re with each other. David’s family has shared a cabin many years in the beautiful mountain town of Idyllwild, which sits in the San Jacinto Mountains, just above Palm Springs. It made for the perfect location for this Idyllwild mountain engagement! In fact, it was built by his family and they have preserved it for future generations. Since Mikaela lives in San Diego and David in Los Angeles, it’s been the perfect weekend getaway for these two throughout their relationship. Some of their favorite memories at the family cabin involve playing games as snow falls outside. The cabin is only steps away from downtown Idyllwild so we walked to a local spot for dinner at sunset.
