‘I do’ was not a moment but a place we’ve built on truth ...
Tucked in the middle of Santa Barbara wine country, The Sunstone Villa has every French countryside touch you can imagine.
With is sprawling vineyards and oak trees, the villa was built using architectural remains from buildings in towns and humble villages in various regions of France, including Marseille and Provence. A few features I love are the enormous hand-hewn pine beams from Queen Victoria’s lavender factory, a prison cell door from Normandy constructed during Napoleon’s reign, and a thousand-year-old limestone kitchen sink. The Villa has five suites, each with private entrances and a view of the Santa Ynez mountains and Sunstone vineyards. Ceremonies are often held under an enormous oak tree with receptions under the stars with the Villa as the centerpiece. Just 30 minutes north of Santa Barbara, Sunstone Winery & Vineyard has won numerous award with its organic grapes and has been family owned since 1989.
