The Darlington House is a timeless wedding venue in La Jolla, CA that embodies a blend of Spanish and Egyptian architecture. With double wooden doors inspired by those in the Alhambra in Granada, Spain, a library with built-in oak bookcases and marble columns imported from Spain, Italy, and Greece, this property is truly one of a kind. The property was acquired by Mrs. Darlington in 1925 and in 1995, The Darlington House was highlighted by the San Diego Historical Site Board in the Register of Historic Landmarks. Over the last 91 years, the beauty of this coastal mansion has been preserved for hundreds of weddings and social events.
It is always an honor to work with the staff at The Darlington House and to photograph such a romantic property. Recently, I had partnered with their team to document a vendor event as well as shoot updated images for their portfolio.
