‘I do’ was not a moment but a place we’ve built on truth ...
.
I have been a professional photographer for over five years. But very rarely have Meg and I been in front of a camera. Last year, we went to Paris during Christmas & New Years and to celebrate our 3 year anniversary, I found a Paris photographer to shoot portraits of us.
We had SUCH a great time exploring some of the most beautiful parts of the city. With Catherine O’Hara capturing our love and goofy sides, we started at the famous restaurant Le Nemours, where Angelina Jolie filmed “The Tourist.” Then we worked our way through Palais Royal, the Louvre and along the Seine. We stopped for a quick wardrobe change on our way towards the north of Paris where we shot on the Pont de Bir-Hakeim, the well-known bridge from the movie Inception. And to finish off a perfect afternoon, we took in the Eiffel Tower just before dusk.
Being in front of the camera gives me a greater appreciation for my couples because I tend to always feel the nerves rise. My couples sometimes tell me before their shoot is that they are nervous as well.
We loved having Catherine photograph us and these portraits are such an important part of our story now. We are so grateful for her skilled eye and attention to detail. If you’re looking for an English speaking photographer in Paris, definitely reach out to Catherine. We can’t wait to go back to Paris in a few weeks and continue building our love for that city and for each other… Cheers!
