Meg and I love spending time in homes. When we’ve traveled or visited family, our experience in a home is often when we’ve felt the most connected to the city, people, and culture. In order to be entered into this giveaway, please share images that remind you of hospitality & home. Maybe it was a trip you went on or a place you continue to come back to that provides great conversation and deep connection. Or maybe it is someone that did the hospitality thing really well. Below, you’ll see a series of images that remind me of these things.
Also, we love Anthropologie and all the products they offer that make homes great… let’s be honest, who the heck doesn’t?!

Below, Left: My Uncle’s cabin, just outside of Yosemite National Park. Yosemite has always been a place of both rest and adventure. I spent every summer growing up there: tubing down the Merced River, fishing and falling asleep under the stars. My uncle built this cabin a few years ago and it’s become a place where cell phones are tucked away and the fireplace burns for hours.
Below, Right: Our Swiss family friend’s living room overlooking Lake Zurich, Switzerland. I’ve been SO blessed by the Brunner family as I have gotten to visit twice in the past 5 years. When Meg and I arrived at their home this past December, it was perfectly decorated for Christmas. Friends they’ve known for decades were gathered around this dining room eating, drinking and sharing stories to celebrate Mr. Brunner’s birthday. It was a memory I’ll never forget and I continue to go to this dining room in my mind with great gratitude for the Brunner family.
Watching the surf with Meg and her mom in her hometown, Santa Cruz. Lynne is such a servant. She continues to make me feel loved by her ability to make her home a safe haven for rest, amazing food, and asking great questions. She is such a huge blessing to us and continues to love on everyone who walks through her front door.
Celebrating my niece’s birthday in San Luis Obispo. This central coast home seems to always have a steady stream of neighbors, friends and family coming by with food, wine, or an instrument in hand. So much joy is found here! I love visiting during Thanksgiving each year and you can see why here.
