My work is described as natural, timeless and candid. I hope your photographs will endure as you cultivate your marriage. Photography to me is about telling a narrative that is authentic to the people, the place, and the experiences. My hope is that your photos will continue to draw you back into some of the moments when you experienced the greatest amounts of joy.

I genuinely care about my couples. Not just their photos but their marriage. I want their experience with me as their photographer to feel seamless from start to finish. The relationship we build during our time together is so much more than a transaction, it's about showcasing the gold in your relationship and celebrating you well. It's such a privilege to be trusted in preserving this story and I would be honored to tell yours.

I shoot both medium format film and digital photography. This hybrid model allows my work to represent the best of both worlds - film has a very distinct and timeless aesthetic while digital allows the flexibility to capture candid moments on the go. As I maintain a close relationship with my film lab and digital editor, we’re able to produce consistency in the final product so your images look timeless and flow seamlessly from start to finish.

To move forward, a non-refundable booking fee, which is 50% of the total investment, will lock in your date. You'll be able to sign the online contract and make your retainer payment by mailing in a check. Then the remaining balance will be due 60 days before your wedding.

Your photographs will be delivered via an online gallery and the number of photos usually depends on your hours of coverage. Every event can vary depending on its location, available light, subjects, etc. For eight hours of coverage, your gallery will be delivered in six to eight weeks and consist of six hundred to eight hundred images. Your final images will be high-resolution, unwatermarked, and fully color corrected just like the images you’ve seen in my portfolio. They will be available for download from your gallery, which is included in your photography coverage. 

For destination weddings, I like to arrive one day before the wedding to get acclimated to the environment and scout the shooting locations. It’s important for me and my couples to touch base over the phone prior to the wedding and go over every detail about their venue, shot list, and timeline. In general, scouting the venue is always a part of my preparation and for local weddings, I do this a few hours before coverage begins. This provides the best understanding of lighting, weather, and aesthetics that are available throughout the day.

Yes, I am very selective with the photographers that assist me on the wedding day. They are most often full-time photographers and have exclusive experience in weddings. My second shooters and I work well together because of ample communication prior to and during the wedding. These photographers can help capture your event from other angles and allow us to have more flexibility on your wedding day. I choose photographers that can shoot with my style in mind so the entire story is consistent from start to finish. 

Megan does not shoot with me but she loves to help with small tasks behind the scenes in my business and actually worked as a part-time wedding planner for over 3 years. She has a good understanding of what goes into weddings. Also, she uses her current expertise as a Marriage and Family Therapist when we host our marriage retreats. Every wedding is unique so your photography coverage will start with eight hours, which covers most if not all of the important aspects of the day. My couples tend to add hours if they have any special traditions or events like a mid-morning tea ceremony or special exit at the end of the night.

Each client understands that Garrett Richardson Photography, LLC reserves the right to medical privacy and does not agree to, or is held liable for any regulations or requests that invade medical privacy for example but not limited to vaccinations of any kind, proof of vaccinations, tests, temperature checks, medical devices or release of medical conditions to perform their services at the contracted event. 

Though I am based in Nashville, Tennessee, I love experiencing new destinations with my couples! I have been fortunate enough to fly around the world to capture love: France, Hawaii, Mexico, Chicago, Washington DC, and San Francisco, Napa, to list a few. 

Yes. For weddings and events outside of Tennessee, I simply ask that my clients include travel expenses into the total budget of their photography collection.
